Project Stealth is a UE4-powered game based on Stealth Action Multiplayer (SAM) gameplay. The defending team plays from a first person shooter viewpoint while the infiltrating team plays in a third person view to aid in increasing situational awareness. Project Stealth will feature intense game play where predicting your opponents movements, misdirection, deception and your knowledge of the environment is key to succeeding in your mission.
Lasers are the Merc's best friend. Detecting or stalling those Spies is what they are good at. A first glimpse of them in action.

Visible lasers...
Why do everybody (almost) makes such a jokes...
Lasers are not visible except a one given point...
And that's one reason they are used as a security system...
Game = realistic

They are visible for gameplay purposes. Then again, a new feature, the cone of security camera's, will only be visible in Nightvision to boost the use of that vision.

First of all, visible lasers exist. They're rare, but they exist. Eg. gas lasers.
Also, technically... The lasers in the video are seen through a camera, and any decent camera is able to see lasers.
The chaff exploded twice? And it exploded on contact with the ground? (unlike your chaff video...) I like the lasers, but the alarm sounds a bit off... You mentioned being able to dive through lasers, but wouldn't that just destroy any need for the lasers? I think the merc should be told if their laser goes down, (I'm assuming the taser is silent). I don't know much about the multiplayer system itself. If you are planning on having a level system where you unlock new abilities/equipment then diving through lasers could be a late unlock ability, and a laser that tells you when its broken should also be a late ability. I think of this like the powers in assassin's creed brotherhood: You can only choose a couple of powers, but you also get passive perks (two). The morph ability blends you into the crowd, but the templar vision power renders it useless as the pursuer can pick you out from the crowd. They are both late unlocks, but morph comes first. Giving people the ability to dive through lasers at the beginning would lead to no-one using them. Hope this helps :)

The grenade was set to explode on impact for the purpose of this video.
The mercenaries will receive a device malfunction notification, if a security device is disabled.
And those "abilities" are exactly what ruined Brotherhood. At level 50 everyone has abilities that renders all other abilities useless, which in turn renders abilities in general useless.
im sure this has been delt with but what about light systemm? mercs should not be able to see the spys in the dark and the goggles should not give away there posittion
The lights on the spy-suit are only visible to spies. Mercenaries will see them as completely shut off.
