Project Stealth is a UDK-powered game based on Stealth Action Multiplayer (SAM) game play. The defending team plays from a first person shooter viewpoint while the infiltrating team plays in a third person view to aid in increasing situational awareness. Project Stealth will feature intense game play where predicting your opponents movements, misdirection, deception and your knowledge of the environment is key to succeeding in your mission.
If you are new to the concept of SAM, this is how the game works. There are two teams with 2 players each: 1 team is characterized by guns with a lot of payload, heavy armored and relatively slow elite soldiers (Mercs, from Mercenaries). The other team consists of high-tech, agile, atlethic and fast Spies with nonlethal weapons. Both teams have access to a variety of gadgets to aid them in their mission. The mercs got stuff like mines, he-grenades, camnets, gasmask etc. and three vision modes (normal, EMF, movement detector). The spies got flashbangs, smoke nades, heartbeatsensor, camo suit, noise emitters etc. and their own three vision modes (normal, nightvision, thermal vision). Mercs have first person view and will play like a regular shooter with gadgets, while spies will have third person view and will play like something close to the Prince of Persia series.
The goal for the Spies is to acquire data by hacking several terminals, placing bombs or stealing disks and extracting them to a safe location. The Mercs' purpose is to prevent that. This makes for intense gameplay, which SCPT and SCCT has proven to be a success in its niche fanbase.
We are always looking for self motivated committed people that will really try to finish what they start.

The first few weeks of 2012 have passed and we're happy to tell you that things are starting to look brighter:
- Lead Programmer Lennard is back
- UI/HUD programmer BearInATie has researched Scaleform and is starting on the revamp of the current, temporary menu code and will be implementing the other menus and HUDs.
- Flash Artist dPaz has officially joined the forums and will be working on the Merc HUD and improving the menus
- More level designers are interested, although the real results can take up to 2 months to show.
- The forums have been upgraded and they also got a new, more Project Stealth-y theme to it.
- Morten has worked on some new cool stuff for security cameras. We only have to wait till we get some more visual effects to show it off.
And last but not least:
- We've released a new song called "Infiltration Zone" by Theodore Wohng. Listen to it in the Videos section.
With the addition of BearInATie to the programming team and Lennard being back, we're now cleaning up the code and glueing the code together. If all goes well, we hope to have a playable internal version within a few months.
People seem to be more interested in making maps, so plans are being made to finalize the PS Editor. This has less priority than getting basic gameplay done, so you'll have to a wait a bit longer for that, but be sure: we're keeping our artistic fans in mind :-).
Thanks and stay stealthy!

Nothing decided about an alternative spy model? Merc looks really cool, but spy just looks like something from another millennium :D My personal opinion: he must look closer to regular field operative style :)
Vote + who agrees!
Never say never. It's a long term goal.
How's the coding side of things?
Needs improvements, but those are in the pipeline. If you know good programmers, please refer them :)
anything new like animations or maps or hanging from a pipe then reaching down to snap a mercs neck
Not like that, but try again at the end of February :). Might do something between now and then, but still unsure if we can get the stuff up to showable quality.
Glad to see updates, I'm dying for a good versus replacement, as the Chaos Theory one is dying.
Keep it going!
it will grow on me. well anyway i hope to see more cool stuff this january keep up the good work.
Thanks =]
That's mostly the gasmask over his visor, if I am correct in what you're describing. Spies don't have a mask. You will be able to change the color of your Spy tho :).
