The first is the multitool which allows the player to carry heavy items with ease and to transfer energy to select machinery.

The EG-32 tool was developed to be used by maintenance personel. It has two functions. The first one is a anti gravity field emitter used to lift and move heavy objects like containers and accumulators. The second one is an energy transmitter used to provide a small amount of energy to certified appliances equiped with a collector. Certified appliances can be identified by the lightning symbol on them.
The second item is the legmounted minirocket which will give you a boost in mid air to literally jump a second time in game.
User guide for the RB-11 minirocket:
The RB-11 legmounted miniature rocket was designed for maintenance personel to help them to get to hard to reach places. After the initial leap the device can thrust the user a second time to get overhigher obstancles.(Doublejump) The device also can reduce forces when falling for a safe landing.
When you start a new game these items are not at your disposal right of the bat. You have to find these in the early stages of the game but after that they will help you along the way till the end.
