Ashcliff Experimental Facility proves conventional prisons just ain't cutting it anymore, that's why in 2010 Onyx Pixel was assigned to redevelop the entire AEF Prison! With a lot overlooked, and millions of livestock-tax-payer money down the drain, we're happy to announce AEF is finally ready to open!

How far into development is Prison Life?

Most mechanics at a basic level are complete. Some mechanics are polished, the next step is to make them work together. Then graphic improvements. There is no baking in any of the images or videos we upload so for anyone who knows what baking or GI is capable of then you know Prison Life currently isn't getting the credit it deserves in that department.

How many maps are in Prison Life?

One. We will constantly be updating the map and expanding it. The trailer video demonstrated a obsolete and empty map because a lot of building and prop models were about 8 months old and didn't match the current state of Prison Life. We do plan to have another map but our focus isn't a huge map selection, our focus is making a high quality world to interact with, not just nice looking models.

Urinating?

There's a toilet stat in the game which if it goes too low your happiness level will start decreasing until you "use the toilet". You can in theory do it anywhere on the map but if NPC inmates catch you not using a proper toilet then they'll either "lose a little respect" or attack you, depends on their NPC personality. If you do it in the canteen area while inmates are eating you WILL get attacked.

When will you show more gameplay footage?

Since Prison Life was greenlit we've mainly been focusing on in-game work, I haven't uploaded a video in over a month now, I will though. Not sure how soon right now.
