The two competing sides, pandemic and research, are actually getting a face. The good organization is still something like the WHO, the world's health organization. It does try to save human being.

The other side is a bit more interesting on it's story. While we still seek a name it is a pharmaceutical company which had invented the ultimate cure to any heavy disease like AIDS, SARS or flues. Now to still make money they decided to create their own germs which are resistent to current cures and spread them on various places on earth. Meanwhile they develop a cure for this new germ and sell it.

The job for the healthy organization is to stop the infection before the outbreak is to heavy. Generally not to buy the cure from the evils to reduce their income and power.

As a player you will be educated to a genetic assistant (representing the tutorial). Then you will have to join on of the group and try to rise from an unpaid intern to the company's leader. Meanwhile technology increases and the actions of both sides are getting violent.
Expect mutant zombie hordes across the globe on the one side and weapons of mass destruction against them.

The world has been split into more detailed areas so a local gameplay should make fun too, which is more likely in the early gameplay. So the world-wide pandemic is something for custom matches or mid to late gameplay (in career mode). If you are interested, we use a technique known as "voronoi" or "delaunay" triangulation to automatically define smaller areas.

So far I can't update you with more information but I really hope there is something you will like to hear and try in January. So far you have to enjoy the concept art updates.

Thanks
