Postmortem is still free but with all the encouraging feedback we got, we decided to add an optional paid version with some Bonus Materials as a Thank You to supporters!
So what will go into our oh-so-cleverly-named Extended Scythe Cut?
Extra Ingame Character - never part of our original design, was going to get cut so instead we thought we'd polish what we've got and throw it in regardless! How might they shake things up further?
Bonus Materials- concept art, wallpapers, etc.
Behind-the-Scenes Development Materials - early screenshots, concepts, design docs, and maybe even original Alpha 1.0 of the game!
DRM-Free! - we're going by the honor system - you support us, we support you :)
Price isn't set yet, but probably a just a few dollars at most - we'd love to do some sort of pay-what-you-want (or nothing!) model depending on technical feasibility.
This is honestly not something we ever planned on, but considered giving a shot with so many positive reactions from testers - some fans were surprised the game was free and saying they would be willing to pay a few bucks for it. So we figured why not give it a shot, base game still being free?
I also want to personally thank my Dev Team and Contributors - my little passion project has honestly reached a level of quality and polish that surpassed my expectations. Compared to other Indie Games that inspired us, such as Home or Dear Esther, we realized we're actually pretty close in terms of quality and value.
To re-iterate, the game is still free and the extras we're throwing into the Scythe Cut are a bonus and thank you to fans!
