Pokémon3D is a recreation of the old Pokémon games Gold/Silver by Nintendo/GameFreak (but, of course this game has nothing to do with them ;) You're the hero of the game, and as usual, you want to be the best Pokémon trainer of all time. So let's go, visit some grass and catch, battle and defeat wild Pokémon, explore towns and routes in 3D, collect items and Pokémon, play with a friend in LAN co-op and much more. The game is currently under development and features are added frequently.

I've been on the computer since around 3:30 pm working on getting this game to load in Ubuntu Linux 12.04 and the only error I am receiving that is keeping me from playing this game is below: Unhandled Exception: System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type '_2._5DHero.DGame' from assembly '2.5DHero, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'. I've spent two hours online trying to decipher it section at a time and come up empty handed. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. This error above should be Windoze based and not Ubuntu seeing that I receive this error while the program is running in Wine. More info if needed: Ubuntu Linux 12.04 LTS Would like to mention as well that I have managed to get the launcher working flawlessly under Linux and the Game Update's Flawlessly through the launcher. This error code pops in the log file when I click "Start Game". If anyone recognizes whats going on here please let me know. Once my account is restored at the Ubuntu Linux forums (due to inactivity) I will be linking them to this thread and this thread to them so we can get the Linux community on this game as well. |

That error appears on Windows if either .Net or XNA is not installed. |

Funny thing is that I have them loaded up onto there. Sounds like I will have to take this up on the Ubuntu forums, because I have a hunch Windows XP service pack 3 wasn't added to my directory and as according to .XNA Service pack 2 is needed minimum. I asked the guys at Ubuntu maybe they will have a fix. Edited by: haffoxtrot |
