We are releasing the Ivysaur release... it features new animations and particle effects as well as 5 new pokemon!

Well here it is only one day late. Unfortunately the character and 2 of the planned Pokemon didn't make the update (chances are you wouldn't have and won't ever find it anyway :D). As always let me know if you find any bugs with the game and especially with the graphical glitch that plagued the last release.

We spent lots of time doing background work to make it easy to implement new Pokemon. It now takes about 10 min to get a Pokemon in game and working and just a tad more to set up it's attacks. The new animations in the game really add to the quality of the build. Seeing your favorite Pokemon scurrying is really an awesome feeling and with our superb animators it really brings life to the game.

With this release we really focused on upping the quality of the game. New to it are things like the capturing and releasing particle effects. I recently went and watched a few of the anime episodes and really wanted to bring that flare. In the future with tournaments and battles in mind it will look nice sending out you're powerful Pokemon with a flare of brilliance.

Also with this update is the new map. Although still just a sandbox map it fits a bit more the style of Pokemon and features a flat, plains type area across most of the map. A somewhat Mountainous range in the middle and in the upper right hand corner there is a small forest. With this new explorable map we added the player's position being saved. So now you don't just start in a random position you can continue your adventure around the map from where you last left off.

Hey I like what you're doing here I seen the other Pokemon game known as Pokemon: Gen that someone was doing. Its pretty cool - just wondering how did you get your AI to move. I'm working on a game at the moment and about to implant my battle system and well yeah I'm not sure where I should start so I think making my AI move around and hack and slash would be a good idea. Message me so we can have a chat as I can model so if you give me some free tips, help etc I can help you out with a pretty sweet little Pokemon Town

Did you stop working on that? Do you plan to update it in the future?
