As a game developer I know which even the games which doesn't have ultra 3d graphics and such are very complicated to do; Planet Stronghold manages to at least in my opinion, succeed at the game genre it proposed to supply. The demo version kept me playing with attention, the combat system is allright, the open RPG nature of this game absolutely charms me; you can choose whatever you see fit for you play style, and develop your character and his team(nice interaction with the game characters too…

i bought loren first way long before i bought this game.. i only bought this game as i got the easter coupon.. how glad i did.. though i didnt have much time to play T_T i did all the sidequest already.. now to find the time to actually finish the game..
something I never figured out is how long the demo lasts?
the first two chapters :) overall the demo as length is about 10-15% of the game, more or less
This game is... Well, i got it from groupee bundle :P Figured out that since it was chance to get 60 20 costing games for 10, I figured I might as well do it.
Well... Umm... Well with visual novels and other games of this sort, writing is most important part... But I can't say that writing is actually that good. I mean, romance interests seem like kind of... Well, anyway, I'm at chapter 4 so I'm gonna finish the game before reviewing. But yeah, so far I'm not really impressed. I mean, I'm feeling like I'm playing some kind of wish fulfilment game. I mean, main character doesn't really seem like hes good enough guy to be promoted to commander that fast :P Then again, king is dumb, but...
Anyhoo, example of awkward writing? There is mention of some legendary hero with same surname as our main character and our character thinks "Huh, I wonder if I'm his nephew or something" then another character has heard rumor that hes nephew of that guy and then character later confirms "Because you are nephew of [legenndary hero guy]". I mean, why does main character think nephew instead of like grandson or something? And...
...Anyway, I can't really complain because I'm enjoying the game :P These kind of stuff are my guilty pleasure. So yeah, this is veeeery subjective game. If you are interested in these sort of games, you'll probably like it, if not, then why the heck you bought it?
Haha yeah it was the last game I made that I wrote myself. If you checked Loren, you will agree that is much better written. From now on I'm only using external writers so future games will always have decent writing :)
Huh, I see. Good that I got every other Winterwolves game from Groupees then, I can just buy Loren when I get money again. It does look interesting even if male main character has lady fanservice armor that doesn't really protect chest xD Anyhoo, these types games are my guilty pleasure so I would have gotten it at some point anyway.
If you liked Planet Stronghold I think you'll absolutely love Loren, everyone says is my best game so far :)
*6 20 costing
You can currently get this in a bundle with other Winter Wolves titles for $10 from Groupees.com and I highly recommend that you do so. It's very good.
The bundle comes with Desura keys
Price is whatever the developer wants it to be. As for my view on the price; who ever supports the linux OS, is awesome to me, and i support them.
