Phaetonium is an engaging, action-packed 2D arcade/sandbox game with strategic elements. "Three-layered" world is one of the key features of this game. Each of these layers was created using its own style. The "Past" was made into an arcade-like fantasy. The "Present" resembles the worlds of sandbox games like Terraria or Minecraft. The "Future" has a futuristic theme with elements of strategy. Additionally, in order to diversify the gaming process, robots, combat vehicles, and transport were added to the game.

• The game takes place in three dimensions simultaneously - in the past (the fantasy world), the present (the main world), and the future (outer space gaming with strategic elements). A lot of items exist in all three dimensions. However, this means that the same weapon will have different properties in the past, present, and future.
• The large and diverse world has many different types of a terrain, most of which are randomly generated.
• Brutal gaming world.
• Multiplayer and singleplayer mode.
• Crafting system, which makes it possible to create buildings, robots, combat vehicles, and transport using natural resources.
• A whole range of transport and combat vehicles, which will allow you to fight on land, under water, and in the air.
• Alternation of day and night, as well as different weather conditions, such as rain and snow.
