In the remote mountains of Colorado, horrors wait inside Mount Massive Asylum. A long-abandoned home for the mentally ill, recently re-opened by the “research and charity” branch of the transnational Murkoff Corporation, has been operating in strict secrecy… until now. Acting on a tip from an inside source, independent journalist Miles Upshur breaks into the facility, and what he discovers walks a terrifying line between science and religion, nature and something else entirely. Once inside, his only hope of escape lies with the terrible truth at the heart of Mount Massive.

~ Some information about the game ~

Waylon Park is a software engineer working at Mount Massive for the Murkoff Corporation. After several encounters working directly with the Morphogenic Engine and witnessing the torture that Eddie Gluskin endured, he decides to send an email to Miles Upshur reporting on the corruption of Mount Massive. Shortly after sending it, he is caught by his employer, Jeremy Blaire.

As punishment, Blaire has Park committed and forced to endure the tests of the Morphogenic Engine. However, after the Walrider breaks free and begins causing chaos at Mount Massive, Park manages to escape his restraints, taking a camcorder with him. He roams the facility as surviving guards and personnel try to escape from the newly freed prisoners, trying to find a radio that he can use to contact the authorities.

During this time, he consistently eludes a bearded, cannibalistic prisoner named Frank Manera, who wields a mechanical circular saw blade and tries to kill him in many ways, including trapping him in a furnace. Just as Park manages to find a radio, Blaire appears and destroys it, insisting that no one can reveal the secret of Mount Massive. He leaves Park to die at the hands of Chris Walker, only for Park to escape.

This
is the first game I played on the PlayStation 4 and believe me when I say that this game scared me completely. If you like and play a scary game in a house that is impossible to get out of, then this is the game for you. This is a really great game, it took me very long time to finish the game, mostly because I hid myself all the time...

Question One:
Initially hell to the no, and that is the biggest no I am able to give, but after watching let's plays and basically becoming desensitized to the entire ordeal the fear factor wears off. The suspension you experience and the surprising, unexpected scares are the only contributing factors to the fear it would inspire.

So yes, I would go there and get the job done.

Question Two:
Sane people or basically any people I can sit down with and have a nice chat without them trying to brutally, brutally abuse me, kill me, mutilate me or otherwise act unruly in a way which is detrimental to either my physical and/or mental health.

I'm a sociable person... On occasion.

Question Three:
Possibly, probably. To be blunt when I saw Outlast was offered it was not my intention to personally get involved for my own gain. No my motives are more noble... Or despicable, either works fine. I plan on inviting friends over and having a horror session. Because what would life be if you could not tortu-eh I mean share your burden with those who care about you?

Yes, I am too scared to play it at night with full sound and without sources of light. However I will do so for the sake of a pleasant evening with my friends.

Thank you for hosting the competition and your consideration, I wish you a good day.

1) Live as brave men; and if fortune is adverse, front its blows with brave hearts.

2) I'll be Superman with lasers eyes, frost breath and stuff.

3) I'll even play with brightness town down and with HUGE headphone in a abandoned hospital in the city of Detroit.

I'm in the competition! Hopefully I did this correctly I'm new to this site. I've been a lurker but seeing this competition for this game convinced me to finally join! Also realized I posted this once in the wrong spot haha.

Question 01: I would have made the trip in but there is no way I would have gone without at least a gun. The game tells you your not fighting back and that can be terrifying but in real life I would always fight back.

Question 02: I would have looked for a map first and come up with good objectives. Maybe looked for a server room or something to figure out all that was going on and copy it to a usb or something.

Question 03: I already have surround sound set up and have around 12 people coming over to watch this game. I played a demo on a car trip and now all my friends want to experience it. The plan is to play it around Halloween with the lights off. The sound at the max and all my friends screaming in fear!

Q 1 - Being a journalist and having an inside info from a whistleblower-of course I would go in, that is my job. But not knowing the horrors that will come is a whole other issue.
Q 2 - First of all, make approximate judgement of the situation, find survivors to team up if possible, utilize everything/anything to your advantageousness, fin and get to communications - and while surviving, collect data for the job you came to do in the first place.
Q 3 - Would I? Hell yeah U would!

Question 01: Yes. No I would not have gone into the house to finish a ob he has like, come on.. Are there seriously people out there who are like; 'Hey look! An creepy haunted house! Let's go in it and check it out! For there won't be any monster in there.. Duuh..

Question 02: The first thing I would look for is a gun. For a gun would protect me in case of any monster appearances.

Question 03: I would. With a headset though.. speakers are less scary. Although I will probably **** my pant while playing the game, I'll give it a go.
