In Insights from an Industry Vet: Understanding YouTube View Counts we discussed a few of the reasons why your game trailer or other Youtube videos' view count may be inaccurate.

Another important reason that the view count of you video doesn't accurately represent your exposure and reach is what I call "Rip and Post."

The revenue model for many businesses is to rack up as many YouTube views as possible. One tactic to achieve this is to re-post your content as their own. This is a list of just a few websites that have re-posted the original Organic Panic trailer after is was released, less than four weeks ago.

For most small scale indie developers this can be a good thing, as it increases the exposure of your game. On the other hand, musicians and film studios often view this as an infringement of their intellectual property. If you feel the same way (and no one would blame you if you did) you can notify YouTube of the infringement

Of course, there are video service other than YouTube. And if you are really interested in accurately accounting your view counts or reporting copyright infringement, don't forget to broaden your search beyond national borders. YouKu is a popular Chinese video sharing site where we found another ripped copy of our trailer.

There are also website that will embed the video file directly into their page, like Strategy Informer or CowboyTV. And there are reviewers who will include pieces of your footage in their videos: VVGTV, PC Games DE.

Just to be clear, we personally appreciate all the coverage we can get.

At the end of the day it is nearly impossible to measure the the exact number of eyes that have seen your video. But if you want to stay on top of each and every new posting, without having to constantly search the internet, try Google Alerts. As an alternative there is also Trackur, which focuses on social media posts, and Mention which includes great analytic tools.

Thanks for the Feedback.

You're right the platform field is packed with great games and an online multiplier would be tons of fun. Unfortunately, we are a small Indie studio (2 people) and the logistic behind such an endeavor are beyond our expertise. We do however have a great co-op mode and a super exciting level editor. Player will be able to share levels with friends and rate other people's levels.

We aren't trying to be political. It is just a funny title and a quirky story line. Our main characters include fruits and vegetables, so unfortunately Veggie Panic would have been just as, if not more, inappropriate. As a final note on this subject I had steak and eggs for breakfast

We will be launching an HD trailer in the coming weeks that we feel will address your concerns about the flowing liquids. All of our in person feedback has been extremely positive, we even won game of the month at the NYC Games Forum. People say it is nothing like they have ever seen before.

Well thank you for the clarification, at least I'm glad a for fun and quirky game isn't aiming to be preachy, that would undermine it otherwise. Sorry to hear about the multiplayer part, but hope you have good luck with the game without it.

I have a few problems with this game.
While I like the physics engine you guys made I don't get why you didn't planned an online multiplayer. This game would have been really fun with it and the ability to crush the opponents with the terrain. Because, apart from the physics, there are a lot of single player platform fighters (and 2D quake/UT clones) out there from flash games to standalone and this doesn't seem to offer anything new I couldn't get from playing Cortex Command or Awesomenauts for example (and online)

And without getting into an organic vs. conventional food or any other similar debate what I don't get is why does the game imply that meat can't be organic? I know it makes the title rhyme, but shouldn't be this "Veggie panic" or something, because it's currently looks more like a Vegan vs. Non-vegan thing (which by the way wouldn't convince anyone to go vegan in my opinion.)

And finally:

It is this physics engine's beautiful display of flowing liquids that separates Organic Panic from any other Indie title out there

Yeah, I'm sure it separates it from games like "Vessel", "Puddle" and probably other indie games with beautiful display of flowing liquid physics... that came out before.
