One Piece Online (OPO) Windows, Mac game

If I see that you guys enjoy the concept of the game, and the way it is right now, I might make the beta public, since as of now it is only available to the developers & friends.

Character Creation:

And so as the cinematic finishes we come to the login screen. Wave of water splashes across your screen. You are now at the character creation part of the game. You're heart races as you are now being asked as to the gender of your character. You decide to make a male just so you don't get hassled my all those ''pervy'' online dudes who flood new game releases. You are now overwhelmed with a Skyrim-like model of customization for your character, after making your character look like all the classics such as Luffy, Mr. 2, Crocodile, Ace, Gol.D Roger, (and of course seeing how they all looked with Ussop noses). You decide to go with something a little out of the ordinary. Something more original of your own design with of course some inspiration of all your favorite one piece characters. After you have decided to name this character. Let's call him, Stein.D Tiber. Clouds cover your screen and a little boat is sailing along next to a ''loading...'' sign. As you watch the ship go up and down your heart begins to race and your mind begins to swim with all sorts of wonders on what this game will be like.

Welcome!:

As the clouds sail away you become enveloped in the amazing graphics of this heart warming game. As one single tear begins rolling down your cheek you are welcomed by a local island native who informs you that you are on small island in East Blue, and that ever since you were a small child you've wanted to set sail on your own adventure and get off this island! Of course it's only recently that the village elder is considering your request. I guess you'll have to prove that you are capable of fending for yourself.

Heading Off:

As you manage to defeat the ''R Pirates'' (and some cleverly placed puns amongst the dialogue.) The town celebrates you as a hero. It's decided that you are able to leave on your own and start your journey as a pirate. You are awarded the pirates little ship. (That the villagers have helped you repair.) and are given one last lesson on how to work your ship skills. Before you set off you must go to the town shipwright and learn the trade. Finally after all of that you set off and are given a map to a bigger island where you will be able to make the crucial decisions that will set out the rest of your path for this game.

Choosing your Job As you're sailing a storm comes and crashes you fortunately on the island you had wanted to go to in the first place! (Lucky you!) It's much more a city but the island itself is divided into three parts. On the East side is a local Marine base, on the West side is a rugged pirate town and in the middle are a pocket of small towns. (Pirates, Navy, Independent.)

Pirates:

So you've decided that a life of freedom and adventure was the choice you wanted to make for your career eh? I'm sure Gol.D Roger would be proud of you, of course as you set into town you're attacked my a couple of local thugs. But are fortunately assisted by none other than the shipwright in this area. After the battle introductions are had you become quick friends as the man claims to admire your spunky attitude. After he teaches all that you need to know about being a pirate and forming a crew. He explains to you the pirates code. (Which pretty much involves saying every man for himself, do what you want and you can challenge others to mini games for crew members.) Before you leave the island and set off on this career. You're skills become reset and you must decide what kind of pirate exactly do you want to be. Remember, Nakama are your friends are actually players that you bring along on the adventure with you.

Navy:

Finally, some one who doesn't have their head in the clouds wasting their life on a fools dream for the One Piece, so you've decided your life needs order and discipline. Good for you, after you go through grilling tests and training you're now apart of the navy. A large scale organization that will allow you to travel the world and make it a better place. So what if a portion of your findings and earnings are taxed? You also get the protection of your team and with a little hard work you might one day be promoted to admiral. After deciding to join the navy you'll be breached on how to act like a true soldier. Order and discipline are key if we need to survive. You must really on not only your own strength but your team as well. That's when you'll be shipped off on tour to better your organizations hold on the world.

Independent:

Who needs to be associated with any kind of ''group?'' you are your own man, a pirate hunter, and solo player, some local bandits, or even a revolutionary. Doesn't matter, all you know is that you don't need to be apart of no pirate or navy nonsense. But even as an independent player you are still allowed to form groups and guilds.

Groups and Guilds:

Groups and guilds are just like small alliances a group of pirates might have. Although Navy guilds are harder to break or disband than a pirate one would be these groups cannot intermingle. If you want to work together you must band together to from an ''alliance'' alliances cannot last for an extended period of time as none the the three groups would work together for very long anyways. With these guilds or groups you can conquer territory and build up villages. Defend them from others though as land is very coveted and can even cause all out wars!

Devils Fruit:

Devil's fruits are rare items that are hard to acquire, now I'm not sure if it would be possible to have limitless devils fruits as it's not even clear in the story yet how they are producing so many but maybe that concept could be worked in. somehow to where there's only one kind of each devils fruits but like millions of them.

A Logia user might actually be unbeatable until you learn haki or have some form of elemental attack / sea-stone equipment that is effective against Devil Fruit users.

Whilst these devil fruit powers would give an advantage to other players, there would be ways to defeat them as all Devil fruits have a weakness, e.g. Whilst Luffy's Rubber abilites can repel bullets and cannons they can't do anything to block swords/sharp objects because they can cut/pierce. And of Course one of
the main disadvantages to Devil-fruit's the fact that after consuming one the person can't swim, (which could be bad in a naval battle where they couldnt swim after their ship is destroyed / swim to the enemy ship, unless they are able to fly)

That's about all I have to say. other than the fact that I plan to eventually introduce Fishman, double-jointed, and giants as unlock able races.

Players start from either four oceans they want to start from and try to progress their way into the Grand Line/ New World. They'll have the ability to have bounties on their head and players can turn in other players for a reward of belly. (the money currency)

Players have to think twice before eating a devil fruit because if they do eat it, they'll be stuck with it.

Throughout the game, you can do side quests and visit many different islands such as Skypeia.Not only will players have the ability to become pirates, but they can also become Marines, Revolutionaries, Shichibukai, Bounty Hunters, etc. Players would even be able to become Fishmen. Marines can also have the ability to reach top ranks like admiral, but the challenger worthy of Admiral would have to battle the current one for the spot.

Combat:

Naval Combat would be a big thing in the game.

You are free to walk around your ship in a battle situation and choose what to focus on, such as manning the cannons, reparing the ship and of course steering the ship or even swim to the enemy ship!

Plans For the future:
Mini games like the Davy Back Fight.

Appearances from notable pirates / marines from the anime, such as Garp, Luffy, Doflamingo, etc.
