This time we will see more in detail the new movement system of Ogat.
Also several bug have been fixed, including body collisions with doors and synchronization of destructible objects for specator view.

Movement System Upgrade part.1

Now Each Character have a "Max Speed" value that determine its maximum base speed.
This value will be modified by two factors for now, the weapons weight and the direction of movement.

Let's see an example to understand how it works:

Scout movement speed example
- Scout have 5.0 max speed
- Zlock pistol have a Weight of 0.15
- NP5 have a Weight of 0.3

This means:
- Scout speed with Zlock equipped will be 4.85
- Scout speed with NP5 equipped will be 4.7

(The formula is MaxSpeed - WeaponWeight)

Plus, each class have a Max and Min speed modifier which influences according to the direction.

- Scout have
MaxSpeedModifier=0 (the MaxSpeedModifier is ALWAYS 0, for all class)
MinSpeedModifier=0.6

This means,
-if you go Forward you have 0 as modifier, with Zlock is 4.85 - 0 = 4.85
-if you go Backward you have the MaxModifier(0.6) modifier, with Zlock is 4.85 - 0.6 =4.25
-il you strafe left/right you have 50% of the modifier (0.3)

*the numbers are not fixed but change between the Max and Min value range.

so keep this aspect in mind when choosing class:
- Every Class have different Maxspeed value
- Every class have different Max/MinSpeedModifier
- Every Weapon/item/gadget have different Weight

Fixed minor bug

  • Doors collision with death body (no more not synchronized door when a player dies near a door)
  • Destructible object synchronization for Spectator view
  • other minor bugs.
