We’ve been teasing some big news, and we suppose it’s time to reveal all…
Odyssey will be releasing via Steam Early Access on 23 February 2017.
To celebrate this huge milestone, we’ve been putting together a brand new trailer to showcase the game in its current state, and give people more of a sense of the atmosphere and style of the game.
In the trailer, you can catch a glimpse not just of the beautiful, sun-drenched Wretched Islands, but also the dark and foreboding network of caves beneath. There’s also plenty of scientific puzzle content in there for good measure - we hope it gives you a good idea of what the game will be like to play.
Right now we’re hard at work putting the finishing touches on the initial release. We’re working with a fantastic composer to finalise the game’s full original soundtrack, as well as completely overhauling the user interface - but then it’s over to you.
We’re heading down the Early Access route because we want to make Odyssey as good as it can be - both as an educational tool, and a game in its own right. The game - which is the first of a planned two-part story - features hours of content across three islands and a huge cave network, and we’d love to get your feedback.
