Nuclear Dawn is the first game to offer a full FPS and RTS experience, within a single gameplay model, without crippling or diluting either side of the game.

As a soldier, explore war-torn post-apocalyptic landscapes, modelled on modern cities, and take the fight to your enemies as armoured, assault or stealth infantry, using various weapons across ten distinct load-outs to accomplish your objectives. The first person shooter action in Nuclear Dawn is hard, fast and unforgiving, with weapons that rely on skill and tactics more than on twitch reflexes and map memorization.

Then, take Nuclear Dawn above the action, and play as the commander. Organize your fellow players in squads, and assign them to tactical objectives. Plan the resource routes for your army, and production of your structures for forward deployment. Exploit the terrain and resource point locations to block your enemies’ advance, and crush their plans in an iron fist. Research and implement new technologies to give your soldiers the edge on the battlefield, and set up forward bases to lead the assault on your enemies, with a full complement of defensive and offensive structures to choose from, to build your perfect fortress.

  • Two factions: The Empire and the Consortium have completely separate base-building paradigms.
  • RTS commander: Produce structures, research advanced technologies, unleash devastating strikes on the enemy, and lead your team to victory as a RTS commander.
  • Four classes: Each faction has four classes with various kit load outs, totalling over three dozen weapons.
  • Squad up: Squad-based 32 player full warfare battle mode.
  • Six maps: Travel across the largest, most detailed maps built in Source multiplayer to date.
  • Advanced Weaponry: As a commander, judiciously dispense healing to your troops, and death to their enemies, by managing your advanced abilities.
  • Stats and Unlocks: 60 ranks, 12 unlocks for each weapon, achievements, gizmos and more.
  • SDK: Nuclear Dawn Software Development Kit will be available for the community to be able to create custom maps, etc.
  • Source Powered: Based on the L4D2 engine and modified to bring you the ultimate online battle experience.
  • Steam Powered: Available for both Mac and PC through Steamplay, with Steam Cloud support.

Replay some of the greatest hits from previous Indie Royale bundles in the Replay Bundle Vol. 1. Back by popular demand - grab great titles that you may have missed the first time around! Included in this bundle are FPS and RTS hybrid experience Nuclear Dawn, futuristic tower-defense game Defense Grid: The Awakening, classic 2D adventure game Gemini Rue, and two fast-paced dungeon adventures Soulcaster I and II. Also included is a very special 56-track album bonus (a $20 value!) for those who pay $8 USD or their currency equivalent during this bundle, the 8 Bit Weapon Collection.

First up is InterWave Studios' Nuclear Dawn, available for Windows and Mac on Steam, which offers a full FPS and RTS hybrid experience, without crippling or diluting either side of the game. Players can storm a building as an assault trooper, cling to the shadows with active stealth, or unleash incredible firepower from a high-tech suit of exo-armor, or lead as a commander, marshalling resources and deploying weapons and equipment for your troops. PCGamer praises Nuclear Dawn calling it a "surprisingly deep and well-designed FPS/RTS hybrid."

Also included is Hidden Path Entertainment's Defense Grid: The Awakening, an acclaimed, futuristic tower-defense game for Windows on Steam, Desura, and DRM-free. GameSpot calls it a "quintessential example" of the genre and "compulsively playable" for newcomers and skilled players, as they attempt to fight off hoards of increasingly complex alien assaults. Defense Grid includes *six* additional items of DLC: the Borderlands DLC, Resurgence Map Packs 1-4, and an upgrade from the first Indie Royale, the 'GLaDOS from Portal'-starring You Monster DLC! (The additional DLC is available for Steam only.)

Next up is Wadjet Eye Games' Gemini Rue, available for Windows on Steam, Desura, and DRM-free. A previous Independent Games Festival finalist, the Joshua Nuernberger-created title is a moody, classic 2D adventure game, with a futuristic sci-fi setting and hand-drawn backgrounds galore. IGN raves about Gemini Rue: "[w]ith (for the most part) seamless, intuitive gameplay, impressive atmosphere and one of most well-crafted and interesting storylines seen in recent years, Gemini Rue is a game not just for adventure fans, but for anyone who loves a good, gritty yarn."

Last up are two acclaimed retro RPG-defense games: Soulcaster I and II available for Windows on Desura and DRM-free. Acclaimed indie developer MagicalTimeBean offers up two fast-paced dungeon adventures, where players tactically summon the powers of immortal warriors to battle hordes of monsters, discover secrets, collect treasure and buy powerful upgrades for their immortal allies. DIY Gamer says of Soulcaster II "It's simple, it's focused, it's compelling and it's just plain fun. The simple retro aesthetic works well, and the soundtrack is full of energy and toe-tapping beats. Grab it."

Again, for those who pay $8 USD or their currency equivalent for the Replay Bundle Vol. 1 get a chiptune masterpiece, the 8 Bit Weapon Collection from 8 Bit Weapon. This 56-track album covers over a decade of groundbreaking work by the chipmusic band 8 Bit Weapon and ComputeHer. Featuring 3 hours of chiptastic sounds, the tracks come from multiple albums, singles, remixes and rare demos, and previously unreleased tracks.

You can find more information on the Replay Bundle Vol. 1, including real-time statistics and its current price, on its official website or via its Facebook and Twitter pages. Grab this bundle now while the price is still low (unless kind purchasers lower the price) for an unbeatable deal!

Guys i have a problem with this, I can't seem to find the "Extras" tab in the Career menu. It's not next to the other 2 tabs, is there something wrong with the game or am i just looking in the wrong place? I don't think i unlocked anything yet, i'm level 17 overall, Assault level is 5, Exo level is 11, Stealth level is 5, and Support level is 2.

I don't own this game, but my Source/Gold Source hotkeys menu/Config folder should work for this game.

I got to say, just played a few 1 hour + games on my freinds LAN station, and it's awsome! I was always a fan on gloom, tremulous, and Natural Selection, (with NS being my favorite ^^). My comp cant quite handle Natural Selection 2 yet, and even when it can, ill still be playing this, cause it scratches that itch that only good FPS/RTS hybrids can, where you feel like your actually in a war, AND you see the game world from the perspective of a soldier in any RTS game,...especially when the commander doesnt seem to give a damn about your lives >_<'. Anyone whos likes RTS, Tactical FPS, or even the hybrids, should give this game a chance when it goes on sale, sad there is no demo.

You have bad impressions on Source Engine? Or is your computer not powerful enough for it?

That would be quite sad, as the source engine is pretty old at this point. This game is awesome.

This game is really good if your commander knows what s/he's doing, if not it's really frustrating

Sorry but this was a free mod they turned around and charged for it. It has mediocre graphics. With a mod format mix of FPS and RTS gameplay. You can find the same quality, detail, professionalism in Empires, ZM, or Iron Grip games. Basically. Wait till this has a significant price drop if you think you cant live without this game.

Save your money people, MW3 and BF3 are gearing up. Bigger Better and WAY more in depth shooters coming around.
