An open world bullethell/action rpg, where you have to prevent the city getting plunged into a drug fueled "noxious abyss". By rescuing the females that are dying at the hands of the designer drug "NOX". Along the way you must interact with the various shop to upgrade your police super bike, hack its timing circuits and even sell unused organs to an organ trafficker for extra money. All this as you slowly make you way to the confrontation with "Ultra violet", the enigmatic nightclub owner said to be behind the drug. A battle that will reveal the very nature of your existence.
A really amazingly well thought out experience. Short but sweet (and incredibly intense!). Unique and quite powerful in narrative - right up there with things like Ghost in the Shell, Blade Runner, and RoboCop, in my optinion.
I really loved this game.

The game is all about exploration and getting to know the environment.
The mechanics are solid, the story is nuts and the combat is fun.
What more could you want :)
NPPD is definetly an intresting title for sure but its also a very flawed one. The music, gameplay, story and graphics all add to a surreal look but ultimately get irritating before the end.
The gameplay itself is simple enough (shoot, collect) but aside from the time bonuses, none of the other things you can buy are ever really all that needed and feel totally pointless as a result.
The game is also in dire need of an options menu for screen-sizing and music/sound options. A Pause would'nt go amiss either.
Aka: Its a 5. Good for a quick look but offers very little overall.
