How long can you survive the post-apocalyptic wastelands of NEO Scavenger? In the near-future, supernatural activity and human warfare have fragmented mankind into pockets of civilization struggling to survive in wild and dangerous lands. You awaken alone in an abandoned facility with no food nor water, and only a hospital gown and some mysterious items as clues to your identity. NEO Scavenger is a game where you must survive in the wasteland long enough to figure out who you are. Each turn you must decide where to go, how to scavenge for supplies, and how to deal with anything and anyone you encounter. And with each passing minute, the pit in your stomach grows, your dehydration worsens, your muscles tire, and your body temperature drops in the cold autumn air. Choose your starting abilities carefully, because they and your wit are the only tools you have in the apocalypse!

The More You Know...
So it turns out there's a pretty funny bug in the game right now. If one takes painkillers and then drinks whiskey, they may go into shock and never wake up once the effects wear off. Kinda like real life!

Knowing is half the battle.

Unfortunately, it wasn't due to clever game design. It was actually a bug in the way pain is tracked over time, that could cause players to wear down their pain bar to 0 and never get it back, when using certain items at the wrong time (or in the wrong combinations).

I should have a fix for that in the next build. Big thanks go out to ht1237 for helping me track it down!

Camp Crafting
I also decided to add crafting controls to the camp screen.

Building stuff from the comfort of home.

Building stuff from the comfort of home.

There are some situations where the player may want to craft while looking at their camp, and it can be tedious to constantly shuffle items across screens. Hopefully, this makes those cold, dark nights a little easier to manage.

That about does it for today. With any luck, I'll have that beta build ready for tomorrow. Night all!
