Miner Wars 2081 is a 6DOF action-survival space-shooter simulation-game set in the year 2081, 10 years after the destruction of all planetary objects in the Solar System. You operate an advanced mining ship in a fully destructible and open-world environment, which remains persistent as you complete missions or play online with others. Realism and survival are key aspects of gameplay. Inventory and the way you use resources such as fuel, ammunition, oxygen, ore, and weapons are important when surrounded by dozens of warring factions. The gameplay is driven by an epic story and offers a choice of single player, co-op, and death-match multi-player. The story will introduce you to many types of missions: rescue, exploration, revenge, base defense, theft, transportation, stealth, search and destroy, pure harvesting, racing, or just flying around and destroying everything you see.

Today we released second major update for Miner Wars 2081:
- Full game and engine (VRAGE) source code released for easy modding (360,000 lines of code)
- Rendering engine has been rewritten from XNA to DirectX (better stability and performance, no more alt-tab crashes)
- Cooperative game saves inventory even for a non-host player (visitor)
- Normal and easy difficulty got a bit easier, hard difficulty got a bit harder
- Czech language localization

@int_SiPlus_void When you get low FPS in MW (should be pretty rare today) - it's mostly because of bad algorithm (dumb programmer).

Hello, i need help! Is there more than just one drilling device and more than one harvesting device in the game? I want to upgrade my ship with it, but i cant find a station who sells these items....please help me ;)
I'm actually willing to buy this if it wasn't for the Needing to be constantly connected to the internet. Come on people, I won't even touch Diablo III because of it either and now this? Even Ubisoft finally changed that ridiculous ****. There's no logical reason for it and its just going to detract people. Plus its unfair to those of us who have poor internet connections.
I have to agree with your criticism. Im a friend of one of the employees that works for Keen software. and he said that it was to prevent piracy. Butt He assures that in 10 years or so they will release the server software. but heres the thing. very little people have ****** internet nowadays, so I dont know why there are some people that use dialup....
