Miner Wars is a 6DOF underground and space shooter played in a fully destructible environment and is a combination of single player story game and MMO. As a player, you operate an advanced mining ship in an open world asteroid belt area. You dig kilometers of tunnels, harvest the ore, travel the solar system, fight your enemies and discover mysterious alien secrets. Game play is led by an epic story and is a combination of a single/multi-player game, cooperative, or you against everyone. The story will introduce you to many types of missions: rescue, exploration, revenge, base defense, theft, transportation, stealth, search and destroy, pure harvesting, racing or just flying around and destroying everything you see. High quality rendering and special effects, realistic physics, unique 'destructible engine' and game area with no borders will make this game an experience that is out of this world. OS: MS Windows XP / Vista / 7. Active Internet Connection Required to Play.

Greetings dear Miner Wars friends!
We are thrilled to announce that we are attending this year's GDC (March 5-9, 2012, San Francisco -Gdconf.com). Please stop by, check out the game, and chat with us! We'll be in the GDC Play pavilion, in the Esplanade Ballroom of Moscone Center.
We will be proudly presenting Miner Wars 2081 and our new arcade-style offshoot, Miner Wars 2.5D. The first 30 people who visit us will receive a free serial key for MW 2081 and its upcoming MMO version!

For current players and others following the development of Miner Wars:
We are presently making major changes to the game, so there will be no new release before the GDC. However, you may expect a new Test Build, as well as a new public demo, in the week or so following the GDC (first half of March).
We do have a cool new trailer in production, which will also be released soon after GDC.
No downloadable demo of our arcade Miner Wars 2.5D is presently available; however, a game demo can be seen at GDC. We will be releasing the game for PC/iOS/Android right after the GDC. Hope to see you at the GDC!

I tried out the demo, and aside from a few quirks this is pretty impressive. I hope the upcoming Kinetic Void, which is more of a galactic sandbox space sim, has mining as deep as this. Hell, even half as deep as this. Two different takes on the same genre, really, but I have to say I'm loving the ultra-realistic, single-solar system feel you're going for. I'm a little wary of the required active internet connection, since I got disconnected once during about 10 minutes of play. Still, I'll be watching this closely to see how the 2081 version turns out.
ok i bought the game and logged into Miner Wars website profile. and it still says "demo mode" and has "buy now" windows on the menu. is it supposed to say that after you buy it? if not, how do i fix it?
how is this 50% off? when its $20 on your website. i can't purchase it using the options on your site., and im not paying double here. wtf?

I bought the game but not on Desura. Do I get a Desura code?
I'm still pretty confused with this all, does this version grant acess to the MMO aspects of the game or is it strictly SP/Co-op. Actually maybe I should say is there a single purchase somewhere that gives me acess to everything the MMO the SP and Coop and if so Is this version it. If not how do I go about finding this illusive product.
Very intrested in the game just want to make sure my money is going where I would enjoy it the most.

2) Miner Wars MMO - Massive Multiplayer Online version of the game for thousands of players online.
Each of those is available for discounted price 19.99 USD. Currently, only demo of singleplayer (Miner Wars 2081) is available for download - Minerwars.com
MMO is a separate product, you dont have to buy/play MMO.
