Minecraft is a sandbox construction game created by Mojang AB. It's development started around the 10th of May 2009. Pre-orders for the full game started being accepted on the 13th of June, 2009.
Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine. At night monsters come out, make sure to build a shelter before that happens. It also has music by C418.
I've renamed the old version of the game "Minecraft Classic", and will be slowly phasing it out. I won't remove it, though. Just hide it.

This is honestly the best indie game that I played, it's different, addicting, funny and has interesting things on it.
The problem with it is the Alpha multiplayer, the classic is fine, but the alpha is buggy, needing backpack and items should still be there when you re-enter the server.
Loving it!
the SMP was just released 1/2 a month ago, and he plans to work on it more.

can someone tell me the diff between Indev, infdev and alpha? I have the game, Just wondering the diff.
/indev/ is the oldest paid version, with crafting and limited maps. It isn't updated anymore.
/infdev/ is the same as /indev/, just with a few more items and infinite maps.
/game/ is /infdev/ with more mobs, snow, items, crafting stuff, etc.
Play /game/.
