Manor of the Damned is a retro inspired action RPG that invokes the memories from the great console games of times past. The game has a deep storyline, intense action, puzzle solving and exploration. You play a destitute wandering vampyre who agrees to help rid a village of a raiding specpyre family. The game features multiple weapons, semi-destructible environments, retro inspired sound effects and graphics, an industrial music sound track, and vampyres that turn into spectres and feed on souls!

Hello everyone,
We have now released Manor of the Damned on all major PC platforms! Thanks for all the great recommendations and feedback. We are currently working to improve some parts of the game that you've spoken out about the most. We're adding more music, making the bosses more difficult, adding new game +, and some more length and variety, especially in the final area.
We've received so much great feedback about how fun people think the game is. There have been a lot of people saying specifically that they love the music and art. We're very happy to be able to present this game for you to enjoy.
Lastly, we were featured on IndieGames.com's Best Indie Games of the week list on March 26th!
Thanks for all the support and we will continue to make this game even better for you!

Hey everyone, the big update to Manor of the Damned will be posted in the next few days. This includes big ticket items like harder bosses, many more secrets, map updates to make zone 4 longer, as well as New Game + mode! NG+ includes npc behavioral changes, ramped up difficulty, as well as some great surprises :D
"Creative does not warrant that the functions contained in the Software will meet your requirements or that the operation of the Software will be uninterrupted or error-free or free from malicious code. "
Its not really encouraging that User License Agreement basically says "IF THIS SOFTWARE FOR SOME REASON HAS VIRUSES, YOU CAN'T SUE US!" :P Its kind of creepy, espicially considering how sort it is.
Hello ObscureMask, the license agreement I have placed on the software is "This software is provided 'as-is', without any express or implied warranty. In no event will the authors be held liable for any damages arising from the use of this software." I'm not sure where you see the agreement you posted. If you could, please tell me where it says that.
Are you reading Desura's standard license agreement maybe? I frequently use anti-virus to make sure that I do not accidentally release something that has something malicious bundled with it. If there is any question you can download the game and run a virus/malware scanner on it prior to running it.
It came up when I launched the game on Desura, I can see reason for it being there(just in case something goes wrong), but I still found it kind of amusing :P
Anyhoo, I face palmed when I realized that Specpyre is combination of "Vampire" and "Spectre" which is kind of silly xD Doesn't really sound very intimidating.. Anyway, gotta figure out where to find a weapon so I can truly start playing the game.
Hello 64 bit linux users.. We just noticed the chmod option wasn't set... so for those wondering why the application isn't loading, we have a support request in... A quick work around... Go to your play tab.. find the path of the game save by right clicking on Rijn->Properties... navigate to the directory.. do a
chmod u+x rijn
Let us know if you have any issues..
Hey everyone. I'm raising the price here in 2 or 3 weeks due to adding some more music, art, and making the game longer. I just want you all to know before hand so that you have a chance to get it while it's cheaper and get the game update free.
thx happy that i grab it before
hehehehe
great game so wonderful
Hey everyone,
It looks like the input library we're using isn't allowing joystick/gamepad support on OSX. You may try this program for now while we determine other options: Abstractable.net
If you know of other programs that are good for binding USB gamepads to keyboard input for Mac, please let us know. Thanks!
wonderful game, really appreciate Linux64 and gamepad support. the game art assets are really well done. awesome soundtrack too.
Thanks! I'm really happy that we were able to get the Linux64 version working and you enjoyed it!
