I don't know if would be interested in the pulseaudio problem any more, but it looks like there might be a fix.

Ok, so this is the *only* game I found requiring me to get pulseaudio.
After installing PA to try the demo, the game just segfaults (and gdb doesn't help).
So basically, I'll keep my money.
Edit: now I've found a second game with the same "issue" (Epilogue)... :(
I installed the demo and get the error message below. I don't have pulse audio running since it has poor support for my sound card and my sound card supports multiple programs at once without a software mixer. I was going to look at the forum at jugilus.com for similar problems and to post there, but I got a 404 error for an unusually named php file.

@Eddward: I have just about the same problem here (Ubuntu 11.10 64):

Would have liked to buy this game (or at least to try out the demo). But doesn't work at all. Too bad.
I contacted the developer. It sounds like it's a limitation of the games engine. I'm just surprised that not having pulse actually causes a crash. I've player the demo once a while ago and it worked fine. (I liked the music.) I think the changes to the game engine to support pulse broke non-pulse sound.
Since it's the same engine as Eschalon, I hope that doesn't get broken. I'm waiting on Book 3.
Looking back in the comments I see now that it won't work without pulse. Glad I found out before buying it.
I know some people love pulse, but I haven't had it work without clicks, pops and ultimately sound cutting out completely yet.
je suis sous debian squeezee 6.0.3, et ce jeu ne fonctionne pas sans la presence de pulseaudio, qui n'est pas installé par defaut sous squeezee ! donc, à oublier dans l'etat.
Hi,
Just wanted to thank you for adding something to help color blind people. Much appreciated, thanks. :)
I haven't had time to finish the demo yet, but the game installed and ran without any problems on Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit. And the drawings are really nice.
I'm having some screen resolution problems. I was going to head over to the official forums to see if I could find info on where I might find a configuration file to mess around with, but it seems that the forum link on the official page doesn't go where it is meant to.
