A technical demonstration of realistic liquid simulation for Minecraft, Liquid Cubed is a WIP project where you can build dams, pump water, drain lakes, and otherwise experiment with the liquid system within the building area. ------- The algorithm used for the liquid simulation was developed over two years by in a modified version of Infiniminer. After Minecraft's wild success, we thought it was about time we built a standalone "proof-of-concept" in the hope that the algorithm could be integrated within Minecraft, but unfortunately more work will have to be done before this can become a reality.

This was one of my 2 complaints about Minecraft. THe other was just plain that it was coded in Java, when jsut about any other language would be more stable for it. Good job.

The environment seems to be the same size as the 9x9 chunks Minecraft has loaded now. Great job
Now, we just need Notch to get it in!
I hope Mojang uses you guys to update the water system before the real release of Minecraft. This would allow for so much more creativity.

you need more block textures to simulate frothing etc, otherwise it just doesn't look real enough
Agreed, it seems improving the liquid visuals has reached top priority.
