It's recently been brought to our attention that installing Legionwood 2 into the Program Files may prevent it from being able to write saves on some systems -- namely those running Windows Vista/7 with User Account Control turned on.

There is a simple fix for this: you can either install Legionwood 2 into a different directory (C/Games/Legionwood 2 works well) or simply run Legionwood 2 in Administrator Mode. You can do this by right-clicking on your game shortcut, selecting Properties, and then ticking the "Run in Administrator Mode" box under the Compatibility tab.

Small Update:

Hey everyone.

In preparation for the full game's release next week, I've made the current demo of Legionwood 2 unavailable for download. This demo was derived from a slightly older test build of the game and will soon be replaced with a demo more representative of the final product.

This new demo should be available some time next week and will allow you to play Legionwood 2 for one hour for free. You'll be able to purchase a key for the full version of the game right from inside the demo. In the meantime, there are still some older beta versions of the game floating around (a Google search for "Legionwood 2 beta" should suffice) for those who are itching to set out on their quest, though keep in mind that this particular build is very outdated and is unsupported if things should go wrong.

Happy adventuring!

Small update:

For those who are having trouble finishing Mount Gurgan (the morality system was screwing up with the end cutscene being triggered), Beta 4.2 will soon be online, which fixes this and a bunch of other stuff. A "patch" version will also be available so you don't have to download the whole game again -- just copy and paste the new Data folder into your existing game directory.

Sorry for any frustration!

I'm not even much of a Far Cry fan and I think this sounds awesome. T.co

@HimeWorks It WOULD be cool if there was some kind of discount for existing users, given how similar RPG Maker iterations are.

Oct 4 2015

@HimeWorks You can pan the sound to the left or right speaker. They had this in 2k3... interesting that it's back.

Oct 3 2015

@HimeWorks Based on the screenshots, front view doesn't have visible actors so it's irrelevant. Enemies work the same.

Choices made in Age of Darkness lead to dire consequences in Heroes of Legionwood: Resurrection #gamedev #RPGMaker T.co

Oct 3 2015

@HimeWorks Yeah, I'm sure that's tied to the Missile setting, for bows and guns and other ranged weapons. There might be other settings too.

Oct 1 2015

@HimeWorks Likewise, I think the "Missile" option will animate the weapon flying through the air to the enemy instead of just swinging.

Sep 29 2015

@HimeWorks Then the character battler plays its standard "attack" animation and you'll also see the weapon swinging.

Sep 29 2015

@HimeWorks It seems to work like RM2k3. As in you have a spritesheet for the weapon "swinging" and you assign that to weapons.
