Descend into continental Europe where the outbreak caused by Horzine Biotech’s failed experiment has quickly spread and gained unstoppable momentum, essentially paralyzing the European Union. Just one month after the conclusion of the events in the original KILLING FLOOR, the specimen clones are everywhere and civilization is in disarray; communications have failed, governments have collapsed, and military forces have been systematically eradicated. The people of Europe know survival and self-preservation too well and lucky survivors have gone into hiding. Not all have given up hope though... A group of civilians and mercenaries have banded together, paid for by Horzine, to combat the outbreak and established privately funded operation bases across Europe. Upon tracking specimen clone outbreaks, players will descend into zed-laden hot zones and exterminate them.
Although the citizens of this zone have evacuated or perished, it is far from empty. New inhabitants have moved in, now you must fight to take it back! #grindhouse
Despite other's disapproval of this map, from what I can tell it looks like it's a continuation of the Paris map, from the perspective of the other side of the closed-off bridge and landmass on the other side that you see near the Cafe, as it's a lot closer to the Eiffel Tower.
It's a pretty cool idea and I don't think it's "copy/pasted" at all. I haven't played it but I can see what the author had in mind just from the screenshot.
My guess is that Tripwire noticed this too and that's possibly why this is #1 on the list.
In terms of assets in the map they do come from stock killing floor files. I can understand people hoping for something more creative, it's a fair assessment. What I did bring to the table is stable frame rates, zero exploits, high detail and on point enemy spawning. For the people that wished for something more creative I think they will be pleased with my phase 2 entries. Happy killing!
I'm a lot more pleased at performance optimization than trying to be over-creative. Good job.
Jesus. Theres so much detail and the map feels huge. I'm getting ripped to shreds because I'm too busy looking at everything.
