Not every case goes to trial and of those most are "bench trials". After years of trying cases as a trial lawyer your efforts have finally been noticed by the State's Governor. Although your recent appointment as a judge forces you to start at the bottom of the judicial totem pole it's only a matter of time until you become a State Supreme Court Justice.

In Judged you start as a newly minted judge in lowly traffic court. As you weigh the evidence from police testimony, breathalayzer results, and eye-witness testimony you'll have to keep your appeals rate for judges overturning your decisions low to ensure you get promoted into more prestigious courts. It's a point-and-click-esque/simulation/puzzle game that seeks to paint a compelling story of the harsh realities facing people in the legal community.

There will be thousands of possible trials, as the evidence and circumstances will all be randomly generated. This ensures you will always have a new case before you. You'll also be able to determine how many cases to have on your docket per "day". This allows you to play the game how you'd like to play. If you want short and sweet trials with only one or two witnesses and one or two pieces of evidence you can schedule several trials on the same day. If you want to see an intense murder mystery assign a larger case to your docket for the day. The evidence can be viewed at any time during the trial and you determine what matters.

Judged will be released on PC/Mac and Linux next summer. Once these versions are released I'll be porting the game over to Iphone, Android, and Windows(if there's enough demand for the later). Everyone who gets a copy of the game here will have access to the PC/Mac/Linux version as well as a mobile copy.

Most of the funds being raised are to replace the currently existing placeholder artwork and get a real artist to work on improving the sprites. There are also costs associated with porting the game to mobile devices and Kickstarter's 10% fee. Don't forget, you can always hold the people who annoy you in contempt.
