You've been driving at night when a horrible car accident happened. You've survived, but now you're lost in the countryside, alone. The more you try to get out, the more you start to realise that the car accident was just the beginning of your nightmare.
Is This The Life is a short horror game which I've started developing two years ago. Since then I've lost enthusiasm to finish the project, so I decided to release it as an unfinished beta. The beta is fairly playable and it has three levels. You can use weapons in this game and it even has a save/load option. Maybe I'll make an update later, but now I feel like I'm tired of this project.
Controls:
WSAD - move
Shift - sprint
Space - jump
Ctrl - crouch
E or right mouse click - use
Left mouse click - shoot
F - Flashlight
O - save game
P - load game
Esc - menu
Tips:
* Don't let your stamina go higher than 120
* Don't forget to save your game. The save/load system is a little uncomfortable, but I couldn't find time to fix it
* Press Use to collect items & ammo
* Make sure your PC runs Open GL games
* Be careful in the underground maze on the second level
* If you get stuck, make sure you didn't miss any items or buttons

I've finally managed to put this thing together and release a beta. This project has been in works for two years, and most of the stuff was made before my previous project Slender's Woods. The beta is fairly playable and has three levels.
The story is about a man who drives home at night and gets in a horrible car accident. After that he got lost in the countryside. The gameplay is mostly about exploring new locations and finding items, but you'll have to fight some evil creatures at the last level.
You can use weapons in this game and it even has a save/load option. Don't forget to read readme.txt before playing. Maybe I'll make an update later, but now I feel like I'm tired of this project.

Game was absolutely great, except for the area where you receive the flashlight... I found running in circles for hours trying to find an exit while avoiding bitchface McAss-head, the teleporting slutty daughter of a *****, sucker of infected chodes, life ruining, moonfire spamming, *** licking, **** muffler of a ghost was more annoying than scary. I even resorted to restarting the game and drawing a map from the electrified water to the power box (which i assumed was the exit after the power cuts out), but to no avail since the god damned map changed completely after the power died!!! RAGE!!!! No seriously I absolutely hate that part, more than any other part of any other game ever. Over all though the game is awesome! (minus that part of course..)
Checked out the video. very nice. Graphics and atmosphere reminded me of thief2. I liked the attention to sound. Somehow the stamina value was very hard to keep track of. Maybe replace it and heath with a healthbar style display?
if there is not going to be enemies most of the time, Consider auto hiding GUI elements like health/ammo unless the player reloads/changes weapons/etc.
Needs brighter and/or more lights. None of the lights seem really all that noticeable, even though they have large amounts of lens flare. Maybe some windows to let the moonlight in in some areas? Or storm grates in the ceilings of sewer sections?
Not saying you have to light the whole level up, but massive lack of light just makes everyone crank there monitor brightness to compensate.
Looks like you are on the right path. Loved the secret passageway and the blood trail to indicate it!
Very nice. I haven't got time to playtest but based on the screens maybe the levels could use more brighter spots and more color.
