The next installment in the Iron Grip series from ISOTX, the makers of Iron Grip: Warlord, Iron Grip: Marauders is an upcoming browser game unlike any other!
Using the Unity engine, Marauders is a turn-based strategy game where players assume the roles of airship captains able to take advantage of research and engineering to create an entirely unique army to combat enemies with. Players are invited to experience the world their own way - choose to fly solo or fight together with other captains in alliances, deploy troops onto a variety of dynamic maps for glory, and research new technologies to defend or destroy. The options are yours. The fight is yours. And, with Iron Grip: Marauders being promised to be free to play for all, the fight is everyone's.
Iron Grip: Marauders is currently in open beta - sign up now to play!

On November 30 the Boneyard Arena Expansion went live for Iron Grip: Marauders! The Expansion introduced a whole new region with new exciting units to add to your army as well as a completely revamped player vs player (PVP) battle system.
The new region, the Walker Boneyard, is accessible for players who have completed the Mysterious Stranger quest line, which is around level 15. The region can then be accessed through the World Map.

When you’ve landed in the Walker Boneyard, there are several options. There is a new bar (Joaquin’s Bar) with new raids and smuggles, and these battles have new maps for you to discover!
In the Walker Boneyard you may run into a fellow called Vilhem Gernott, an old Trucker who is always looking for some bold marauder captains interested in dangerous adventure for excellent rewards. You may even be able to add another hero to your team!
Of course a new region wouldn’t be complete without brand new units! The Walker Boneyard will offer completely new units, both researchable and licensed and even collectable Black Skull units. There will be a separate Black Market for these new items in the Boneyard.
We are bringing back PVP! Players can now match their armies against each other in 3D battles with other players in the game! You can choose which map you want to fight over, and then select units in conflicts ranging from 400 up to 1000 deployment points.
And check this out: you don’t need to spend energy to play PVP!

So what if you lose a battle? No harm done! Units which are destroyed in PVP battles are never permanently lost! After the battle, they are safe and sound in your storage. Your wins and losses are visible on your profile in a separate counter, so you can always check out your opponent before starting!

Unlike any other part is ********. Nebula44 allows you to go into battlefield just like marauders. It's still in beta though.
I would love if it was possible to mod this, the artwork and animations/effects are great. You guys could easily make this game into real time instead of turn base,
I'd rather like C&C series
what exactly is this game?
Iron Grip: Marauders is a browser based, free-to-play, full 3D strategy game.
Can't wait to play the game when it comes out
I don't feel like vote for a game I haven't kind of "executed", but I like the Iron Grip universe and there is a lack of decent tactical games like this, so here you go.
Not really, we are bound to the download size, since it's streamed in the browser. We can't put 1024x1024 textures in this game on object, or you'd have to w8 wayyy too long to stream in the game.
You don't cache things on the System? Is this a limit of Unity's Plugin?
Your local windows files get deleted every once in a while (temp internet files) so are unreliable to say the least.
We use Unity3d's asset bundle cacher, which works pretty well, though it's not like just installing a local copy of the game, it just downloads asset bundles that the game loads in when it needs them.
Eventually after playing, it will have downloaded in all the asset bundles, and just needs to load them through unity so its fast, but still not ideal.
