has anybody ever managed to get slugs to go into an unending orbit?
Kind of. They explode by themselves after a while, but I've managed to get them orbit the sun and other planets for quite a long time. Even if the slugs lived forever, they would eventually collide.
Yeah, true. And in your game I'd imagine gravity from surrounding planets would probably throw it off a little as well.
Yep, the closeness of the planets eats away some of the realism, but it's a necessary evil.
