In Exilium is a 3D, "isometric" hack and slash RPG with an emphasis on minimalistic design and player discovery. It is a simple, exploration driven experience, comprised of action based combat, character attribute customization and random item generation to accommodate many diverse play styles. There are many enemies and bosses to defeat as well as plenty of puzzles to solve and secrets to explore. There is no hand-holding throughout the game, no other characters, no mindless quests, everything must be discovered by the player. If you like RPG's and have become disenchanted with typical RPG design practices, In Exilium is for you. You play as a king who has been exiled to a strange, hostile world by an unknown force. There are no other characters and no quests to help you along the way. Only through exploration can you learn why you were exiled and how to return…

In Exilium is entering Beta phase through Desura, request access here!

I am proud to announce that In Exilium has been approved on Desura! I will be hosting a Beta through Desura for the next month.

I will only be accepting a limited number of people for the beta test, so first come first serve. This video explains how to request access, but the jist of it is, you just need to go to the forums for In Exilium on Desura, under the "Beta Request" forum, just post a quick message saying "Hey I would like to try the beta"!

If you do decide you do want join the Beta, and you get accepted. Please give feedback on the same Forums under the correct category "Bug Reports" or "General Discussion".

The game is scheduled for a final release on August 18th! So please give as much feedback as possible within the month of July!

Hey, great news. Good luck with your release. I might request beta access, but I'm not sure I'll have time to really get into it enough to give you any feedback. Hope it goes well!

As a side note, will the game be releasing anywhere else besides Desura and (eventually) Steam? Have you considered Indiegamestand.com ? They have a really easy to use store.
