I Shall Remain was produced by an active duty US Marine whose experiences and love for his organization echo through the game. The creators have a story that is as interesting and moving as the one created for the game. You are invited to read about it at: Ishallremain.com

Hows it going Desura!
Jake Way here, it's been a long journey and we're finally ready to make a kickstarter debut. We've quietly been gathering everything we need to make it happen successfully. I've attached to this article an image of our first contributor gift. It's a beautiful rendition of Michael's quest log that players can have as any kind of creative journal. It's leather and handmade! These below are prototypes. The final cuts will have 'I Shall Remain' delicately placed on the front cover. Nothing too crazy though, I personally can't stand it for instance when I get a T-Shirt that screams the company name across the front. I'm all about subtle and beautiful.
On Kickstarter we plan to raise $30,000.00. This will be enough to cover the costs of completing a multiplayer function for the game- which will make ISR an absolute blast to play and market our Steam Greenlight campaign. Currently we're 76% of the way to the Greenlight top 100 list. We're well positioned but we definitely have a fair amount of work ahead of us. (Greenlight link here: Steamcommunity.com )
Also heads up, we're currently working on a new game map that will replicate the battle of Dien Bien Phu. Similar to what the French experienced in that battle in 1954, there will be no way to win. You will struggle to survive as long as you can. The French battles in Vietnam have always fascinated me especially because many of them were carried out by the French Foreign Legion. Back in those days, the ranks were filled with tons of soldiers who were joining up to continue their military careers and to avoid the Nuremberg trials. Who were these? Former Nazis. Well before the United States had entered Vietnam, former Nazi soldiers were covering down on the defense of French interests there and fighting the Vietnamese guerrilla fighters.. that blows my mind! I can't say anything about whether or not what happened in Vietnam in those days was right but I do know that there were lots of great fighters whose lives absolutely sucked fighting in the nasty rain and mud with limited support and that they fought well.
Thank you so much for your continued support and we look forward to interacting with you here on Desura. Feel free to hit us up with any comments or questions. Many of them might be receiving a video response from our new team member Lindsey. Nothing like being able to speak to fans in person.
Live and fight hard and happy zombie hunting.
Jake

Hey players! Our kickstarter won't be up for another week or so but here's the link to the video we made for it if you'd like to check it out! Youtube.com
I'll make a press release here on Desura when it's up, if you follow our game you should be notified when it's up.
We are so excited for what all that's happening now, thank you players for supporting us through all of our ups and downs. You have given us a the dream to live.
Good luck, guys! I got the game yesterday from the Groupees bundle and it's been a whole lot of fun, so I'll make sure to support you on kickstarter as well :)
PS: could you tell me what are the system requirements? I'm thinking of installing this on my laptop as well, but it's quite an old machine, I'm not exactly sure it'll run smoothly. Thanks!
ill post them here when im back at my computer, but until then they are also posted on the groupees site. it works on most systems, esp if you turn off shadows. then it will work even on slow computers.
Let me start by saying this, I am no expert or big name person.
I just played the demo to this game after seeing it on the greenlight for steam, which I voted up for, and I immediately had to test it out. One word comes to mind. Brilliant! This game is brilliant! The game play and style is nothing new, but the approach on it is fantastic. It takes a nice spin on a once dull, and more recently with certain games, coming back to life genre of games. However, there is only two things I have to say that are not so good. 1. To me there is not much of a back story, mostly with the serum, which I presume is some form of agent to fight the plague if you get infected rather then just being currency. and 2. The camera angle at times made me feel a bit....woozy, there should be an option to lower it slightly to see more as a 3rd person then an isometric title. But other then those two things, I am certainly going to buy this and recommend it to everyone I know.
Hi @TheRichardTS, thanks for your appreciation, we are really glad to learn about people enjoying our work.
We do have a back story but its not well explained into the game, we will work more on this to make sure the player is aware of the world he is in and the background for some of the decisions he made or he needs to live with. Also, if you just played the demo which only allows you to play Survive mode than you should definitely try the alpha release (which contains the prologue, episode1 and the survive game modes)
About the camera, have you tried the mouse wheel zoom function? If you did and that still doesnt make it better than i imagine you'd like more to see it from the back than above, right?
Indeed the serum is the agent people use to temporary fight the virus and because of that it become the exchange currency; you extract it from zombie blood automatically and its tightly related with the characteristics of some skills and attributes.
Hello players!
Alrighty sorry we haven't had some cool updates in a little while! We're short on capital and had to move this project to part-time.
However! Big things over the next weeks!
We're being published in an indie bundle and doing a kickstarter on the 17th of this month. We also have a fresh update of the game with all of those nasty teammate-initiated crashed fixed and a patch for vietnam era weapons.
Stay tuned for some more zombie killing fun!
Jake
I wanted to ask about two things: co-op and controller support (360)
Hey bud!
We don't have co-op yet, if we're successful with our kickstarter we'll be able to implement it. As for controller support.. we dont have anything for the consoles. Any PC controller system will work because our controls are fully customizable. Hope this helps!
Jake
YEAH, nice to hear;
i told them about your game and johnny Cappuccino from Groupees tried it out then on Desura :) nice to hear my request got success
Thanks!
