Hex Empires: Grave Consequences is an engaging strategy game played on hexagonal map, that is currently beta and available to play in its web incarnation. You can check it out on Hex-empire.com.
On the surface, disguised as a simplistic strategy game on a hexagonal map, it quickly proves to be an incredibly complex, Chess/Risk-like challenge where only outwitting your opponent can earn you an advantage. There's no luck, there's no random factor involved, it’s a real, pure strategy game. Also it's, what we call a point-and-click strategy game, you can control it with one finger but have to use full quality brain power to stand any chance.
The game features both single and multiplayer modes, a map editor, challenges, leaderboard, nice visuals and satire relevant to humanity. Soon there will be a campaign/story mode. It's also brave enough to be subscription based with basic features (single player challenges and lite multiplayer) being completely free. No pay-to-win, no tricks, no strings attached, only down to the ground honest gaming that will most likely make its creators bankrupt.
Hex Empires: Grave Consequences is currently available as a browser game, working on PCs and Macs with Unity3D plugin installed. Standalone Mac, PC, Linux and also mobile versions will be released in the close future.
