Hazy Islands is a short survival-adventure game. After a disasterous storm, you find yourself marooned on an unknown island. You must gather food, set up a camp and start foraging for more resources. Once basic survival is secured, you must start building signs and bonfires, hoping that some passing ship will come to pick you up. But be warned, the island is becoming more and more dangerous with each passing day!
Hey guys, it's been a really long time since my last update and i just wanted to check in and say that i am still working on the game, although i had to take a longer break from developing.
So, to get straight to the point, here is what has changed so far:
Originally, the player was meant to appease the gods of the island so they would let him leave.
To escape, the player must now build signs to be spotted by a passing ship.
The gods and their altars are still there, but interacting with them is now entirely optional.
Some new buildings were added, that can make your life on the island easier:
- A medium hut
- A wind pump for a steady water supply
- Fish traps
Small volcanoes can now appear everywhere on the island, don't get too close while they are active!
For all 3 of the animals in the game so far, there is now also a bigger and more aggressive version.
Not only do they hit harder, but they also act as pack leaders for their smaller cousins.
The island has been overhauled some more, and now has quite a few nice plateaus, on which you can find some less ordinary plants.
