The story of Guild of Darksteel

It is believed that our world is made of the thread woven by the collective dream of the Sleeping Gods. Every living thing and every stone and tree is as dreamt by the Gods. But one thing is our of place: the Darksteel. A metal so dark and powerfull even the Gods are affraid of it. It is the only thing in this world they didn't dream of and not a soul knows where it comes from. The Darksteel has great power. Forged into a weapon or an armor, it can turn the bearer into a warbeast, grating him godly strength and blessing him with immortality.

But is it really a blessing?

Like most adventure games, it is story-driven, but instead of going through one main story line, the player is invited to take part in many smaller stories on the theme of death. Each character you meet has his own story and his own problems. How you decide to help is entirely up to you, but their story will evolve in consequence.

The battles of Guild of Darksteel

The battle itself is sort of a puzzle game based on memory and timing. The player can attack or parry for a short period of time. Each enemy type will always perform one specific set of actions. The first thing that is expected from the player is to block the enemy's attacks until he understands and remembers the attack pattern.
