Gnomoria is a sandbox village management game where you help lead a small group of gnomes, who have set out on their own, to thrive into a bustling kingdom! Anything you see can be broken down and rebuilt elsewhere. Craft items, build structures, set traps and dig deep underground in search of precious resources to help your gnomes survive the harsh lands. Build your kingdom and stockpile wealth to attract wandering gnomads to your cause, but be wary of also attracting enemies!

Report RSS Gnomoria v0.8.10 is released

Short description of some combat updates over the last few patches.

Posted by on

With v0.8.10 now released, I want to recap on the last few updates to Gnomoria.

Training Grounds
- Training Grounds have been added to help your gnomes prepare for tougher enemies. It's built like a workshop and can have a Squad assigned to it like military designations. When assigned to a Training Ground, squad members will take turns sparring which increases skills and attributes related to combat.

Ranged weapons - Ranged weapons can now be unlocked through Tinkering. Ammo and ammo containers are unlocked along with the relative weapon and are crafted at various Workshops. The crossbow is two handed and requires crossbow bolts and a quiver to use. There are two guns that use musket rounds and an ammo pouch -- the one handed flintlock pistol and the two handed blunderbuss. Similar to the Training Grounds, a Shooting Range building will be coming soon to help train up ranged weapon skills.

There have also been some AI improvements which make equipping your squads easier as well as lots of bug fixes. You can check out the complete list of changes for every patch here.

Coming up next will be some improvements to help keep your less fortunate gnomes healthier. You'll be able to build a hospital to fix injuries that can't be cured by bandages alone and gnomes will help bandage and feed those who can no longer take care of themselves.

Hi, everything is coming together amazing. Though I'm really concerned about when are more updates to the way gnomes interact with each other are planned to roll out? I'd really like my gnomes to have more idividuality and character. IE: A gnome might be going crazy, as he really is itching to build a chair. XD

That's simple. If you haven't figured it out by now, just go to the top of your Desura bar or screen or whatever, and click on 'Play.' Select the game Gnomoria, and if it has a curvey arrow next to the game, that should mean it's ready to update.
You can double-click to have it prompt you to update before playing, or right-click to go through a menu and manually choose to do it.

I would like to give out an idea....How about you get the power to atack goblin kingdoms. For example theres a goblin kingdom called Land of the Frames. After I know that exists I can atack it and take it and now I have twice as much land.I would love for something like this to happen. Thanks for reading -Sky
