Is the multiplayer for the game currently set up? I just think that you should start working on it now before you have too much stuff you will need to change to fit a format that sends variables correctly if you understand what I mean.
Don't worry, while this new version of Gekkeiju is a pretty new game - the project itself is over 10 years old. The network code has been optimized pretty well during all these years.
There's no offline-mode in the game at all so everything is online (and multiplayer) all the time. Basically all the game logic is server side as it should be.
