Gameplay Football is an arcade footy game for PC. Gamepad is recommended, but not mandatory. You're gonna need at least a dual core CPU and a modern OpenGL 3.2 graphics adapter!

I've tried it on windows (not able to run on linux due to graphics driver problems) and I'm impressed: Really well done.

hey man, thinking of releasing some kind of a source code, maybe source code prom demo?
While trying to run the game in ubuntu 12.04 it crashes with following message.
symbol lookup error: ./football: undefined symbol: TTF_SetFontOutline
I even tried after installing SDL-ttf-2.0.10, 2.0.11 from source. It still does not work.
that's weird, .11 should work.. i'll be looking into this later on, hope i get it to work properly for the final version :)
*edit: are you running 32- or 64 bit linux? i've heard about some problems with the 64 bit version and my game..

Great game. In terms of soccer games I'd put it on the same level as FIFA in terms of fun. There are a few slight issues I've run into, though:
- The game crashes at the end of every match, so in order to play two matches in a row you have to boot up the game twice. Probably my number one issue with the game.
- Smaller issue, but opponent AI from set pieces doesn't seem that varied. I had one game where every time the opponent got a free kick they fired it straight into the wall. Minor issue, but I thought you should know for the final product.
Apart from that this is a really great game that has so many positive things going for it. Really looking forward to the next beta version!

thanks for stating it's as fun as FIFA! i'm sorry to tell you there won't be another beta version; i'm working on the final version from now on. so you'll have to be patient, i'm afraid! :)
