Franchise Hockey Manager ("FHM") is the deepest, most immersive, and most customizable hockey management game in the world. Choose one of 19 leagues - NHL, AHL, OHL, WHL, Liiga, EIHL, KHL, SHL, and many more - and select a team to guide to glory. Sign free agents, trade players, draft the next crop of superstars, and much more! Every historical NHL and WHA season from 1947 through 2012-13 is included, and you can use commissioner mode to edit players, financials, and more. There's also advanced stat tracking, including Corsi and Fenwick, a rich news section that covers all the league highlights, league events and milestone watches, an ever-growing Hall of Fame, and much more.
First go at a hockey game and it shows. Later releases got better but this one had poor AI and lousey controls. The only thing they had going for it was the actual NHLPA license.
Game was released in a very bugged state. Though improvements have been made, the game continues to have serious issues. Future versions should be better given OOTP's reputation as a publisher, but this version simply isn't ready.
This game, while it might have a few problems and requires a few more updates, will be the ultimate hockey simulator, just as it's cousin OOTP baseball is for baseball. Be patient, it has a good team behind it.
