Did your system crash again? Unable to recover your savefile?
How about you never need to worry about that again?
Due to several savefiles lost by crash, wrong shutdown, and things alike. I made a 7 line batch file to copy my continue file every time I started. If I crashed, I could simply recover from where I started.
I know the deletion of the savefile was implemented to prevent cheating, and this batch definitely makes it easy to try again. But many people have considered it to be a missing feature, and whether you cheat or not is up to yourself. There is nothing this batch does, which you couldn't have done manually.
The installation instructions are in the batch file. Simply open it with notepad and follow the instructions.
It should be very simple, and you should not require much computer knowledge.
Whoa 407 downloads...
When i made the bat file i accidently included one of my own paths instead of <username>
at line 16:
for /f "tokens=1-5 delims=:" %%k in ("ti;me%") do (ECHO F|xcopy "C:\Users\<username> \Documents\My Games\ FasterThanLight\continue.sav" "C:\Users\Elias\Documents\My Games\FasterThanLight \saves\continue%%d_%%k-%%l.sav" /y))
You alter the <username> to the correct path for your computer.
Notice that you also have to alter Elias in the second path to your own username.
I'm sorry for the mistake, I hope it wasn't too much of an inconvenience.
