Hey Tal'Dorians!

We have some awesome news and a new video to show you of our progress over the last couple of weeks! As well as a new voting feature that will be apart of all our builds in the future which will help you shape what we focus on next.

World Generator

We shared a little about the concept of world generation in the past but we wanted to go into a bit more detail now that world generation is what we are currently focusing on and have some more concrete information to share. The world will have different biomes to explore with each biome being in a 32x32 chunk (512x512 blocks = 384x384 meters) box, as we continue to develop the game more and more biomes will be added to make the randomization greater and with new places to explore! Speaking of new places to explore each biome can contain villages, dungeon entrances, landmarks, and treasures as well as enemies who will be found anywhere on the map.

The last couple of weeks we have been working on the Jungle Biome and would love to give you a sneak peek as to what to expect and get your feedback on it. Then in our next Dev blog we will show off some of the dungeons so keep your eyes out for that!

Community Voting

We want to make sure everyone enjoys this game, but for those people who jump into to our builds extra early, they will have control over what type of things we should focus on over the course of our development! The best way we have found to do this is through voting; how that would work is we will give you a list of things we can focus on in that given stage and you will be able to vote on one of those things. Once the voting is over we will aim to focus on the things the community wanted most to be done first!

This is great for two reasons:

1. It allows you to share what you feel is most important to see next

2. It gives you an idea about what we are working on throughout the cycle.

LAQ

"When is the next update?"

Our goal is to get on Early Access as soon as we have content that we feel is in a playable state. Our next public alpha test will be released after the Early Access start and will focus on the skill-system.
