Looking Ahead
The final metamorphosis from a fifth-instar-caterpillar to the adult butterfly is still pending. That will be released next week.
Further ahead, mating of male and female butterflies will arrive in the game! As a female butterfly you shall win by successfully laying fertilized eggs on a suitable hostplant (Milkweeds for Monarchs) for the next generation to thrive. Male butterflies will have a similar victory condition.
Beyond that, Grasshoppers, Multiplayer support, more land creatures and freshwater ecosystem addition are planned for the near, mid and distant horizon respectively.
For now I leave you with a pic of Monarchs hurriedly ambling down a plant stalk to fatten up for their upcoming pupation into a chrysalis and beyond!
