We are very glad two give you 3 big announcements regarding our game:
1. Name Change
Previously known as "Return to Mana - Legacy of the eight elements", we decided to change the name of our project into "Saga of Pandoria - Legacy of the eight elements". The reason for this move is quite simple: We want to make clear that Saga of Pandoria is a unique game. There have been misunderstandings in the past already, and this way it is quite clear that SoP is no remake but rather a complete new game with certain inspirations.
2. Crowd Funding - Indie GoGo
As the Story of the first episode has been almost finished, it is now time to face the future: We decided to take the risk and apply for IndiegGoGo crowd funding.
The fate of the project is now in your hands.
If we want to become a standalone game with full SOURCE access, we will need to form a licence agreement with VALVE. And in order to have the funds to do so, this is the only way for us to get them. So if you want to get a bigger, better, DRM free, standalone version of this game, please support us!
3. First Trailer
Finally, in order to celebrate this move, we decided to release our FIRST EVER trailer of the game. It will show exclusive footage of the previously unknown areas, the combat system, enemy types and the AIR CANNON transportation system.

It's great, but what I don't understand is why in some games there are portraits of the protagonist on the HUD. It doesn't make sense if there's just one character you can play.
Well, you can play up to 3 different characters (see the website). Anyhow the portrait is also not 100% perfect, so I already agreed to improve it..
Make this game payed for.
The game is looking nice but the animations are the worst I've ever seen in since years.
And this: "DRM free game with no third party limiting your gaming experience.", In what way does steam limit me?
You reply to a few questions except this one? I think you just lost a customer.

@Animations - Yes we know this point and will try to improve
@DRM Free - Well, in case Steam goes offline someday or your Internet is disconnected, then you cannot play the Game.. That's why a lot of gamers (including me) prefer DRM free versions of indie games.
That's good to hear about the animations.
You know steam has an offline mode? And I think the major part of the gamers wants a steam version, because then you have all your games together. So will it come to steam too?
Sure it will come to STEAM aswell, DRM free is only an option. Basically everything has its pros and cons. Yap but for my part at least the offline mode does not work all the time ;-)
I think you just won back a customer if, the game gets decently animations.
congratulations you saw money and your eyes got wide. good luck getting the source license but understand that I won't be giving you a dime. :|
Actually we PAY the money. No one said that you have to pay for it ;) So we dont see money at all. The Game is in development for about 9 Years now, cause we are very small team. The only money that we want back is that that we had to spent into the Project for Servers, Software, Licenses and so one.
And that is calculated in the Crowd Funding Campaign as you can see in the description.
Hmm, it looks good, and I would like to fund it. I just wish you used Kickstarter instead. Kickstarter is more widely known and trusted in my opinion.
We tried to. But we have no American in our Team and kickstarter only allows american citizen to use it.
But if the Indiegogo campaign fails, we will somehow try again with kickstarter. Dieblein will ask a friend of him to start it there.

Yes but I just checked some days ago and it was already closed by Kickstarter... So it seems Kickstarter only wants to support US projects. (Hopefully this might change in the future though)
Why you called it "Saga of Pandoria"? As far as I know is Pandoria just a town or a small county and not the land's name. I found the name "Return to Mana" more suitable. Apart from that is it great!
Personally I also liked "Return to Mana" better, but to avoid any legal problems in the future, this is the best for everyone I guess.
The animations look really bad, fix them please.

Are you going give a release date or that still remains unknown??
At this stage I cannot and it would be highly unfair to promise something we cannot fulfill. As soon as we are sure, we will make the big announcement.
