Deus Ex Machina in an exploration into a fan remake and modernisation of the original in Unity, redesigning systems and game mechanics to conform to modern iterations of the franchise and the genre as a whole. Not designed to be an exact remake of the original but instead and evolution of it with the intention being at this early stage to produce a reimagined Liberty Island as a portfolio piece.

Description

The Ocean Floor Environment will be making an appearance in this project except with alittle twist. The underwater terrain will be that of LA enough to render Pasedina a beach + underwater location. With the realism associated with the location topography + the generally associated environmental effects of being underwater for 23 years.

So the player may find themselves swimming in between old city streets, buildings and iconic monuments within an area that suits the location best. Perhaps Hollywood? All environmentally degraded by being underwater, and the sea life reclaiming it.
