This approach is amazing and i only encountered it in one game that i forgot its name , perhaps Imperium Galactica but not sure , where the colony screen would be on the ground
However , for realism sake each and every planet type we would colonize would need to feature a proper biome for its landing site This now in the game is in common with any planet you colonize as few as they are
It will probably mean more 3D work but if done properly it would be a level beyond many other 4X titles that just offer a simple colony panel
However i have my hopes because i found amazing designs of ships in this game and the modelling part is already splendid , am sure it will be splendid further on
This game can become akin to a Sins of A Solar Empires 2 if it would not be let down
