Description

Dark Rising is a tower defense game which mixes the in depth features of real time strategy with the classic adventure of role playing games. You must build towers, train soldiers, and equip them with the best weapons and armor to withstand the undead hoard. Every wave the enemy gain strength, only wise planning and the bravest soldiers can prevent this apocalypse.

History

I started Dark Rising as a fun project. Something to test out some tower defense mechanics in Unity. I posted a demo onto GameJolt after only 2 weeks of development and received good feedback on the game. In order to fix some of the glaring errors on the game I released another patch and then later another one. At that point full development of Dark Rising had begun.

I started to expand the game and add in more features such as training pledges and equipping them with weapons. Soon I was building the Castle Editor and main menus as well. Development slowed as life got busy, but soon I was back to developing full time. A year and a half later and here we are.

Dark Rising will be releasing on the 13th of October.
