Dark Lord: The Duel is an action adventure side scrolling platformer in a Dark Surreal Fantasy setting.

It’s a game set around one never-ending duel, reenacting the classic conflict of old folk tales in its own surreal-macabre interpretation. The grand final battle without anything else before or after. One arena. One protagonist. One archenemy.

One multidimensional temple full of traps and nightmarish foes.

It certainly is! We're going to unveil our teaser in the next few days. And we're getting ready for a Kickstarter campaign for next month. :)

I am interested how the animation is going to turn out, I am thankful, that you chose a non-pixelated angle while designing the sidescroller.

I'm happy you appreciate the idea of having a non-pixel style. We are trying to give the game a retro-style, with a sort of nostalgia feeling, but also trying to move away from the pixel-art mania that has been a little overused in the last years.

We've just finished video-capturing some gameplay scenes where you should be able to see the animations. We're going to show them soon, so keep in touch :)

Sounds interesting. I'll track! These environments look really amazing and rich in detail, they seem like something HR Giger did back in the day for Alien and other movies.

It looks like I was spot on about the Giger aesthetic, the game looks a lot like a compilation of his paintings. Great work, guys! The cutscenes look pretty impressive, I wonder what the gameplay and story will be like, because the visual side seems to be near perfect!
