Here's a sample of a gentle test on the net play, which includes finding the game online, joining it, and then playing two rounds.
As you can see in the video, there are three bugs at least: No countdown voice, the cycle hum is annoying, and when a player slams into my cycle, I die too. In any case, it's progress.
After I fix those things and whatever else I find, the next step is to release it in a "for developers and anyone who likes unpolished games" capacity. Then I need to turn my attention back to my mobile projects for a while.
If you'd like to contribute to this project, and you have Unity (free or pro), drop me a line. I'd like to gauge how many people may be interested before I form solid future development plans. I'd at least like to see plug-in support so people can write their own AI scripts and have online competitions. I'd also like to the ability for players to use their own models and sound effects...I want to do those things for one of my upcoming games anyway.
Stay tuned for more updates!
