After many months of intense development, we're happy to announce that our 3D Platformer MMO, Cubic Castles, is in Open Beta! The game is available for download for Windows and OS X right now at cubiccastles.com, with Android and iOS available soon.
The way you play is pretty simple, you gather up blocks, then build your castle how you see fit. Now the actual in-game place is decidedly 3D PlatformerL you get a nearly top-down perspective, 3rd person, and a fixed camera that you can rotate yourself. However, *what* you do in the game is largely up to you, since it's a sandbox. Most people work on their castles using standard cube building, then open it up for others to play.

But other players may want to make something completely different, like this ornate lounge:

Looks pretty sweet. Feels like a cross between Fez and Minecraft. I haven't got very far with crafting anything, but I'll get there. Maybe.
