Flowers are different than crops in the matter that a) they're flowers and b) you plant them by digging holes.
Another new feature is saplings, which can be planted using acorns.
Trees can also have fruits on them as well.

Added some flowers (tulips and sunflowers for now) as well as saplings. Definitely starting to come together a bit more.
