It is with great pleasure that we at Monochrome LLC are excited to finally reveal our upcoming indie game-
Contagion is a spiritual successor to the hottest Half-Life 2 mod since 2008, Zombie Panic: Source. Eugene and Marcus, icons of the mod return to do what they do best - Survive and stomp out any undead that may cross their path. Contagion will be a story driven, atmospheric experience, throwing you into the middle of a zombie outbreak with a focus on survival. As the player you will not have the luxury of a suitcase of ammo and a trolley to carry along your weapon stash.
Contagion guarantees not to be your average zombie game and will pit you against unique and terrifying enemies, new features, a variety of new weapons to choose from, and a powerful soundtrack that promises to completely immerse the player in the world we've built.
We would like to thank our incredibly loyal community for all their support and point out that it was because of a large number of enthusiastic ZP:S players who asked us to work on a Single Player version that inspired us to move forward with this project. We would also like to thank Valve, who've shown both mod and indie developers a generous amount of support and it is with our trust in them and their ever changing engine that we'll be developing Contagion on the Source Engine. We're also excited to announce that we will be looking for playtesters to test our existing alpha build soon.

Wazanator means both SP and MP. As for L4D game-play it will be drastically different. Our focus is more on atmosphere and survival so you will need to be aware of your surroundings and won't be loaded up with ammo. Look forward to revealing more later.
We have no intention of directly competing with L4D but we do hope that fans can enjoy both.

Afraid not its an indie game on the source engine. Although I have to say for the quality so far it looks like you will get what you pay for

Contagion is not a free game, but we promise it will be affordable and worth every penny once completed. We are not yet at the point to discuss pricing or release date but if you track us, we will be revealing more information over time.

Haha, to be honest, I was about to say the same thing. I don't see how this person is necessarily trolling, as it's a rather fair comment. Half Life has zombies, L4D, L4D2, Zombie Master, Zombie Panic Source, etc... etc...
Source has some other great standouts but almost seems rather typecast.

No ZPS isnt now. ZP pre-dates L4D, and this (Contagion) isnt even zombie panic.
Also ZPS IS and awesome game which is still be work on :)

Tatsur0 is working on it, and due to the fact that he worked on two legendary and actually released Source mods before (ZPS and Neotokyo(the latter being one of the most high quality mods ever IMO)) I have great faith in this project. Also: tracking :)
P.S. If you can comment on this: do you have a full engine license or are you working on Alien Swarm SDK ?
